Book Haul!!!

Guess who went thrift store shopping?? ME!!!!

Being the book addict that I am, I need my daily dose of books. What better way to satisfy myself and also save money by going to the used book store! I saved so much money. I found three books at Goodwill in wonderful condition and only paid a dollar for them!

I first found Shakespeare's Secret, by Elise Broach. This is a children's novel that I decided to buy because it simply had Shakespeare in the title. I believe it's a suspenseful mystery. For thirty cents, this book found a new home!

The Adventures of Robin Hood by Roger Lancelyn Green is a classic that I found, and it sparked my interest. I love the 1938 film adaption with Errol Flynn and  Olivia de Havilland. I actually found out that Roger Lancelyn Green was apart of The Inklings, a group of men who met in a pub in Oxford. Among the men were the wonderful J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.  How awesome is that?!

The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale is a novel I've been meaning to pick up. Every time I check it out from the library, I loose interest in it. Hopefully I'll be able to read and finish this book soon!

Hard Times by Charles Dickens is a novel that I only just heard of through Freya over at JustaRandomReader. She recently reviewed it, so I was so excited to find it at the thrift store!

The last book I got, was The Fairest Beauty by Melanie Dickerson. This is a retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I have never heard of this book before, but once I read the back of the book and the first couple of pages, I really am intrigued. I'm excited to pick this up!

So those are all the books I got! Happy reading to all of you!

25 Book Challenge 2013

I'm challenging myself...

If you have already discovered me on tumblr, and have seen my recent posts (my tumblr) you know that I am challenging myself to read 25 book titles that I have wanted to read for quite some time.

For the whole year of 2013 I want to read 50 books, but this is kind of a challenge within a challenge. That way I have a list of books to read all throughout the year. A lot of the books are very popular and most people have already read them, so I'm super excited to dive into the stories.

Here is the link to my list of books I'm reading- 25 Book Challenge List

Here is my shelf on GoodReads that I created just for the books- goodreads

I'm really excited to be reading all these books, and I plan on reviewing all of the one's that I don't already have a review for (some of them are re-reads, and I've already reviewed them).

I'm so happy to be reading all these books! I hope you enjoy watching me go on this challenge!
