Guess who went thrift store shopping?? ME!!!!
Being the book addict that I am, I need my daily dose of books. What better way to satisfy myself and also save money by going to the used book store! I saved so much money. I found three books at Goodwill in wonderful condition and only paid a dollar for them!
I first found Shakespeare's Secret, by Elise Broach. This is a children's novel that I decided to buy because it simply had Shakespeare in the title. I believe it's a suspenseful mystery. For thirty cents, this book found a new home!
The Adventures of Robin Hood by Roger Lancelyn Green is a classic that I found, and it sparked my interest. I love the 1938 film adaption with Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland. I actually found out that Roger Lancelyn Green was apart of The Inklings, a group of men who met in a pub in Oxford. Among the men were the wonderful J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. How awesome is that?!
The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale is a novel I've been meaning to pick up. Every time I check it out from the library, I loose interest in it. Hopefully I'll be able to read and finish this book soon!
Hard Times by Charles Dickens is a novel that I only just heard of through Freya over at JustaRandomReader. She recently reviewed it, so I was so excited to find it at the thrift store!
The last book I got, was The Fairest Beauty by Melanie Dickerson. This is a retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I have never heard of this book before, but once I read the back of the book and the first couple of pages, I really am intrigued. I'm excited to pick this up!
So those are all the books I got! Happy reading to all of you!
